German Academics visit ISTT

A group of German academics including, Prof. Klaus R. Kunzmann, visiting professor at Bartlett School of Planning, University College London (UCL) and retired professor and director of the Institut für Raumplanung (IRPUD) at the School of Planning, University of Dortmund, Prof. Bernd Benikowski, professor at SRH College of Logistics and Economics and Dr. Mehdi Vazifedoost, Faculty of Spatial Planning at Technische Universität Dortmund and also it’s departmental coordinator for the ERASMUS Programme visited Isfahan Science and Technology Town on the 12th of Dec, 2017. All three academics were collectively working on subjects relating to spatial planning including innovative urban policy and European spatial planning, on regional restructuring and slow regional development, on the role of creativity, knowledge and the arts for spatial and endogenous economic development, etc.

These academics were introduced to ISTT via one of ISTT’s settled company’s Behin Ab zendeh Rood Co. working on water sanitation and related issues.

During their visit the academic group was introduced to the different aspects and activities of ISTT. They also met with the management team and discussed possible ways for future collaboration. With the existing similarities between their collective field of expertise and ISTT’s theme for hosting the 35th conference of the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP), several possible ways for their participation were raised.

The academics were then taken for a tour of ISTT where they met with a number of the K-based companies settled at ISTT including Pertikan Co, and Ehyagaran Ghalb Sanaat Asia Co.
